5. NAME OF ISSUED CERTIFICATE: Bachelor (Civil Law).

6. ADMISSION: Pursuant to the current regulations on University and College admission of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Entrance classes: A, A1 and D1

7. PROGRAM STRUCTURE: 130 credits (excluding: foreign language, physical education and defense education).

8. TRAINING PROCEDURE AND GRADUATE CONDITIONS:

Pursuant to the Regulations on University and College Training under the Credit System issued in conjunction with Decision No. 1368 / DHUG-UD & SDH dated 21 November 2008 of the Director of National University of Ho Chi Minh City.

8.1. Training procedure:

Training: According to the credit system

The training procedure is divided into 8 semesters:

-           Basic educational knowledge: Semester 1, semester 2, semester 3.

-           Basic knowledge of fields: Semester 4.

-           Specialized knowledge: Semester 5, semester 6, semester 7.

-           Internship, bachelor thesis or seminar: Semester 8.

8.2. Graduate conditions:

Students are eligible for graduating if they meet the following requirements:

-           Recognized as full –time student of the university with right trained major;

-           Completing all subjects according to the prescribed curriculum and accumulating the sufficient number of credits of training branch (including projects, bachelor thesis, additional equivalent to the number of credit of projects or bachelor thesis); no subjects have less than 5 and the average study score is more than 5;

-           Meeting the foreign language requirement of VNU-HCM and the University (except for foreign students in accordance with the regulation on the work of foreigners studying in Vietnam issued together with Decision No. 33 / 1999 / QD-BGD & DT dated 25 August 1999 of the Minister of Education and Training);

-           Obtaining national defense education and physical education certificates;

-           At the time of graduating, student isn’t subject of criminal prosecution or disciplinary action with the suspension.

10. JOB OPPORTUNITY

After graduating with Civil Law major, students have the ability to work independently and effectively in the following agencies and organizations: Courts, Procuracies, People's Committees at all levels, Authorities from the central to local level, enterprises of all types of economy, credit institutions; economic and social organizations; universities; law institutes and centers, law firms, foreign or domestic law offices and multinational companies.

* SOME DIFFERENCES OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM FROM THE PAST:

The Bachelor of Civil Law has been built on the inheritance basis, referred to the advances of the Civil Law training program in 2013 and the reference programs of Can Tho University and Law University with specific differences:

            Firstly, the program outcome standards of Civil Law was elaborated on the basis of reference from various sources: Feedback from alumni, feedback from enterprises, feedback from experts who are members of the Faculty Advisory Board of the Faculty Law, feedback from students. Basing on the opinions of many sources, the Faculty of Law commits that students of Law Faculty who study Civil Law curriculum will meet the employers’ requirements.

Secondly, in response to the educational philosophy of the Faculty of Law, "theoretical issue is strongly attached practical one", the curriculum is supplemented with many subjects such as practical skills in law and ethics law,…Besides, Faculty promotes activities of CLE for students to participate in, organizes many legal talk sessions "Legal Talk" ... to increase the practicality of the program.

Thirdly, the investment of new infrastructure, modern supportive tools has contributed lecturers to approach the new teaching methods in the curriculum, such as: Group discussions, presentations, critical thinking, problem raising and problem solving, case study, invite experts to talk.
