[CLE-UEL] EXCHANGE MEETING WITH HANGDONG UNIVERSITY (KOREA)

Today, in the trend of globalization and expansion of trade between nations, the exchange, and advancement of judicial culture between the East countries and the West countries is indispensable. Not only the "content" law but also the "formal" law is an important legal basis for the protection of legitimate rights and interests of foreign individuals and legal entities that have trade relationships with Vietnam.

To have a thorough understanding of Vietnamese Civil Procedure Law as well as other countries’ in the process of international economic integration, Clinical Legal Education CLE – UEL, under the guidance of the Board of Law Faculty, was honored to organize the WORKSHOP with the topic: "Comparative Civil Procedure and Courts" at 8.30 am on 31st January 2018.

The representatives from Law Faculty of University of Economics and Law were Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Ngoc Dien - Vice Rector of University of Economics and Law, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Le Vu Nam - Dean of Law Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung - Vice Dean of Law Faculty, Mr. Le Hoai Nam - Lecturer of Law Faculty and CLE – UEL members.

Clinical Legal Education was also honored to welcome guests such as Professor Fred Ross, Judge David Prince, Professor John Park and students from Handong International Law School (Korea).

At this workshop, students had an opportunity to gain and revise the useful knowledge of Vietnamese civil procedure law and other countries through the guests’ sharing. In particular, the students can improve their English communication through the exchange between students of two universities.

Besides, Korean students at Handong International Law School shared their daily life and studying schedule of a law student in Korean education.

End of the program, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung representing the Law Faculty of the University of Economics and Law gave the gifts to the guests from Handong International Law School. Along with bright smiles, warm handshakes, it was a promise for a great long-lasting cooperation between the Law Faculty of the University of Economics and Law and Handong International Law School.
