[CLE – UEL] EXCHANGES WITH CHEN-KUNG UNIVERSITY (TAIWAN)

The protection of Intellectual Property rights has become a mandatory condition of international economic integration. When creativity plays an essential role in promoting competitiveness and economic growth, the issue of the protection of “such creativity” is necessary. In the developing countries, Copyright is more and more considered as a driving force for developing an economy of knowledge in each country. It is the same in the case of Vietnam, protection of Copyright will give creators a fair assurance of the value of the works in the market that they have created; at the same time, promoting the creation of cultural products in a sustainable way.

In order to further research the Copyright, as well as enhance the cooperative relationship between two universities, The Clinical Legal Education CLE – UEL, under the guidance of the Faculty of Law, was honored to hold the WORKSHOP with the theme “Copyright” at 9 am on February 28th, 2018.

On behalf of UEL, CLE – UEL was honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Le Vu Nam – Dean of Faculty of Law, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Duong Anh Son – Dean of Faculty of Economic Law, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung – Vice Dean of Faculty of Law, Master Le Bich Thuy – Head of External Relations Department and lecturers of Faculty of Law and CLE members.

CLE- UEL is also honored to welcome guests of honor Prof. Chun – Jen Chen, Associate. Prof Szu – Ting Chen from Cheng - Kung University (Taiwan).

At the workshop, two universities exchanged extremely interesting ideas about the desire to exchange of lecturers and undergrads together with the enhancement of scientific seminars, etc. Especially the share from the two schools on “Copyright”. This is an opportunity for undergrads to have a look at Copyright in Vietnam and Taiwan, accumulate their own legal knowledge and improve their English communication skills.

Besides that, CLE – UEL members also have a brief sharing of undergrad life at UEL in general and CLE – UEL in detail.

At the end of the program, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Le Vu Nam and Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Duong Anh Son, on behalf of Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economic Law of UEL, presented gifts to guests of honor from Cheng - Kung University with the promising to build a good relationship for both universities.
