Scientific research of lecturers is one of the main activities of Faculty of Law. Indeed, the Faculty always encourages lecturers to participate in doing research, and creates groups of skilled researchers who are able to work independently to carry out science projects in the university and under the society’s demands. The time of doing scientific research is counted on the standard of the university’s general regulations. Lecturers with good scientific research achievements will be encouraged and rewarded appropriately. For many consecutive years, different lecturers of the Faculty have personally been awarded by the UEL and the VNU-HCM for their excellent achievements in scientific research.

Every year, the Faculty of Law organized different scientific seminars which attracted many students participating in. In scientific activities, students would self-identify problems and select a topic, then the lecturers guide them how to implement the topic.
Throughout the research process, the civil law students have made remarkable progress, such as in 2010, students of the Faculty carried out two scientific research projects and achieved good results (first and second prizes awarded by university). Especially in 2012, the Civil Law students had 6 research projects and among them, one project won 3rd prize and one won consolation prize at university.
