On the morning of September 30, 2020, the Faculty of Law (UEL-VNU) held the seminar on "Identifying and Processing Investment Activities Subject to Laws of False Civil Transactions" in September 2020.
The seminar participants included Prof. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung - Dean of Faculty of Law, Dr. Le Nguyen Gia Thien – Vice Dean of Faculty of Law, together with lecturers from the Faculty of Law, University of Economics - Law.
Presented in the seminar, Mr. Nguyen The Duc Tam focused on analyzing Article 48.2.e of the 2020 Investment Law. Accordingly, the Investment Registration Authority may terminate, wholly or in part, an investment project in case the the investor carries out investment activities on the basis of false civil transactions in accordance with civil laws. This is a new point of the 2020 Investment Law compared to the current Investment Law. In addition, Mr. Nguyen The Duc Tam also introduced and analyzed some illustrative judgments about a false civil transaction and how the court's settlement in practice.
Upon the presentation, the participants actively engaged and discussed the topic.
